Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Not legal advice. This is a draft prepared without attorney review.

1. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information TruePostings (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to truepostings.com and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address, and, if you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., Google), basic profile information from that provider (such as your name and email).

Resume data (Pro tier only): if you subscribe to our Pro tier and upload a resume, we collect and store the resume file, extracted text content, and a derived numerical representation (“embedding”) used to match you against job postings.

Payment information: we do not directly collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor; we retain only what is necessary to manage your subscription (such as your subscription status and a reference ID).

Usage information: we automatically collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security, analytics, and troubleshooting purposes.

Job search activity: searches you perform and jobs you view, used to improve alert relevance and, for Pro subscribers, matching quality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your resume or personal information with employers, recruiters, or advertisers.

4. AI Processing of Your Resume

If you use the Pro tier, your resume text is sent to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) to generate a numerical embedding used for matching, and to generate short, personalized explanations of why a specific job posting may be relevant to you. This processing is used solely to power your own account’s matching feature. We do not permit this data to be used to train the AI provider’s general-purpose models beyond what that provider’s own standard business-data handling terms allow; you can review OpenAI’s own data usage policies for API data at their website.

5. Third Parties We Share Data With

We share limited data only with service providers who help us operate the Service, each acting under their own data protection obligations:
